Will my registration fee for the meeting be refunded?
You have three options on how to handle your ASHEcon meeting registration fees. You may
- Donate all or part of your registration fee to ASHEcon as a tax-deductible donation.
- Transfer the registration to ASHEcon 2021.
- Request a full refund.
How do I tell you what I want to do with my registration fees?
Please submit your request via the ASHEcon 2020 Refund Request Form no later than June 1, 2020. Please allow us at least 60 days to process the refund. Refunds will be processed in the order in which they are requested. If you do nothing, we will treat the fees as a (tax deductible) donation. You’ll receive a tax donation letter from acknowledging your gift.
If I choose to request a refund, how will I receive it?
In most cases, we will be able to refund using the same method you used for payment. For those residing in certain countries outside the U.S., we may need to wire the refund to you. If your refund situation is unusual, ASHEcon staff will contact you directly via email.
Who should I contact about my refund?
Please direct all correspondence about your refund to Leslie Ofori at email@example.com. Do not call or use social media channels to inquire about your refund – we will only respond to written inquiries sent to Leslie Ofori at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please allow us at 60 days to process your refund.
What should I do about my travel arrangements?
Please contact the airline or other transportation company you booked through for guidance on cancelling your travel arrangements. Many airlines are currently waiving cancellation or rebooking fees. ASHEcon cannot assist you with cancelling your travel arrangements.
What should I do about my hotel reservations?
Please contact the St. Louis Union Station hotel directly at (314) 231-1234 to cancel your hotel reservation. You may also cancel your reservation through the confirmation email you received when you booked your room. If you booked a room at another property, please contact them to cancel your reservation.
I signed up for a pre-conference workshop. Will I get a refund?
Yes, you will be refunded at the same time as your registration is refunded.
My organization is a sponsor or purchased advertising, will I get a refund?
Sponsors and advertisers may choose to continue to support the 2020 ASHEcon (virtual) conference, transfer their sponsorship/advertisement to next year’s conference, or get a refund. ASHEcon staff will be in touch with you to discuss your sponsorship and how you wish to proceed. If you have questions, please contact Leslie Ofori at email@example.com.
When will the next ASHEcon Annual Conference be held?
ASHEcon 2021 is scheduled for June 20 – June 23, 2021 in Washington, DC.
My abstract was selected for presentation in the 2020 Annual Conference, does this mean that my submission to the 2021 Annual Conference will be automatically accepted?
No. Unfortunately we are not able to carry over papers selected for presentation to next year’s conference. You will have to submit a new abstract for 2021. The call for abstracts for ASHEcon 2021 will open in the fall.
When will information about the virtual conference be made available?
Very shortly. As of late April, we are finalizing details and will make them available to the ASHEcon as soon as they are confirmed.
