The conference will be held at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel in St. Louis, MO from June 11-14, 2023.

No, the conference will be fully in-person in St. Louis.

As is common among professional associations, the contract to hold ASHEcon’s 2023 conference in St. Louis, Missouri was signed in 2018.  In August we conducted a survey regarding options for the St. Louis conference. Members expressed a wide range of opinions; some members will not travel to states with particular policies while others believe that running a survey regarding state policies and conference location was overly political. This diversity of viewpoints was reflected in the survey responses to what we should do. However, by far, the most popular option was to hold an in-person conference without a simultaneous virtual or hybrid alternative. The board met to consider the survey feedback, and voted unanimously to 1) hold an in-person conference in St. Louis as planned and 2) enhance ASHEcon’s virtual offerings throughout the rest of the year, with special focus on members who are unable to attend the in person conference.

We recognize that this decision excludes some members who are unable to travel to St. Louis in person. We will work to enhance ASHEcon’s virtual offerings throughout the rest of the year. This includes existing ongoing programs such as the Electronic Health Economics Colloquium (EHEC), special programs on the Economics of Health Equity and the Economics of Reproductive Healthcare Policy, and new programs.

If you are interested in submitting a session but need additional abstracts to complete your session, we invite you to review the Single Abstract Listing which will be updated weekly as submissions are received. This listing includes the program area and abstracts for each single abstract submitted for inclusion in the ASHEcon Conference. If you find an abstract (or abstracts) in the listing that you would like to use to create or fill out a panel, we encourage you to reach out to the author (contact information is in the document) and see if they would like to be part of the panel.  If they would like to be part of the panel, they would need to withdraw their single abstract submission (they can do this by logging into the abstract system via the link in the confirmation email received when the abstract was submitted) and resubmit the abstract as part of the new panel.

Registration will open in February 2023
