I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer.Thank you all so much for making ASHEcon 2018 a wonderful success! We couldn’t have done it without the support of all our members, friends, sponsors and valued supporters.  We are already busily preparing for ASHEcon 2019 in Washington DC June 23-26! The call for abstracts will be coming out this month!! I always look forward to this time of year and enjoy reading the many submissions we receive.

Despite all the enthusiasm, it is with a heavy heart that I announced to the ASHEcon Board in June that I will be stepping down as Executive Director after the 2019 meeting. While my energy and passion remain steadfast, I have come to the conclusion that it is time for ‘ASHEconTony’ to pass the baton on to new leadership. It will be seven wonderful, unforgettable years, FOUR fantastic now annual conferences (I already know that ASHEcon2019 will be fantastic), the creation of one fabulous journal, and THOUSANDS of outstanding health economics papers presented by the very best scholars in the field. I could not be more proud of all we have done together.

It is time for a fresh set of eyes to take over. And that is where you come in: at this link you will find a job description and call for nominations and applications for the position of Executive Director of the American Society of Health Economists.
