Call for papers, Annual Health Economics Conference, October 16-17, 2014

The Health Policy Forum at Rice University’s Baker Institute is pleased to host the 25th Annual Health Economics Conference (AHEC) on October 16–17, 2014.

We welcome submissions on a variety of health economics topics, including —but not limited to— the Affordable Care Act, controlling cost growth and provider incentives. Submissions from other areas of health economics are also welcome. The presentation format will be a short overview of the paper by the researcher and a presentation from a discussant, followed by audience discussion and feedback.

AHEC is an invitation-only conference. Attendance is restricted to people actively participating as presenters or discussants.

Submit a Paper for Presentation

A panel of applied microeconomists will select 10 to 12 papers for presentation at AHEC, with a preference given to junior faculty; we also welcome submissions from doctoral students. Full papers are required in advance of the meeting. If you would like to present at AHEC, please submit a completed paper or an extended abstract (1 to 2 pages) by email to ahec2014@rice.edu no later than 5:00 p.m. CDT on Monday, May 12, 2014.
