9th Workshop in Behavioral and Experimental Health

Hamburg, October 07-08, 2024

We are pleased to host the ninth Workshop in Behavioral and Experimental Health Economics at the Hamburg Center for Health Economics (HCHE), a joint center of Universität Hamburg and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. The workshop brings together economists and behavioral scientists who apply behavioral-economics insights and experimental methods to study health-related decision making. The workshop is part of the activities of the Behavioral Experiments in Health Network: www.beh-net.org.

We welcome contributions on all topics related to economic aspects of health-related decision making (e.g., preferences, incentives, institutions) applying experimental methods, be it online, laboratory or field experiments. We expect to have both long talks (30 min or more plus discussion) and lightening talks (5 min) that will be accompanied by a poster presentation.

Keynote speakers:

Jeannette Brosig-Koch
(U Magdeburg)

John Cawley
(Cornell U)

Submissions
If you are interested in presenting a paper, please submit either the full paper, or an extended abstract of up to 500 words that addresses each of the following: objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. Preference will be given to full-paper submissions, particularly for long talks.

Deadline for submissions is May 15th, 2024. Submissions should be uploaded via our submission portal. Authors will be notified regarding the acceptance of their paper by July 31st, 2024. The workshop is taking place in the central office of the HCHE in Hamburg on October 7th and 8th, 2024.
