The 2024 ASHEcon Conference will be held in San Diego, California at the Marrott Marquis San Diego Marina from Monday, June 16 – Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
In addition to over 190 scientific sessions containing 598 papers, plus 130 posters, this year’s conference will include both numerous new and returning elements, including:
- A pre-conference session with Tradeoffs executive editor Dan Gorenstein
- An enhanced diversity scholar program
- A pre-conference mentoring session for PhD students and Early Career Professionals
- Three enriching sessions brought to you by Arnold Ventures
- Sessions on careers in health economics
- A plenary on reflections on high level government service, with Sherry Glied, Marty Gaynor, Rena Conti, and Victoria Udalova, moderated by Don Kenkel
- A Meet the Editors Panel with John Cawley, Kate Bundorf, Mireille Jacobson, W. David Bradford, Catherine Maclean, David Howard, and David Slusky

Registration grants you access to all sessions. You will also have access to all special events, plus an evening reception, a poster session, 3 lunches, 3 continental breakfasts, and coffee service each day.

Registration Information
- Online registration is preferred for all participants. If you are paying by check, you still need to complete the online registration process and print out your invoice and send it along with your check no later than 2 weeks after registering.
- To receive the member registration rate, you’ll need to use the email address associated with your membership account.
- Your registration will be confirmed by email. Confirmation will include a link to your registration to view payment information and will serve as your receipt.
Group Registration
Group registration is available to groups that want to register 3 or more people at once. If you want to register groups of more than 3 people at once, please contact Beth Pasquale at info@ashecon.org.
- The group contact name must appear on each registration.
- Group’s contact will not be registered as conference attendees for the conference. Group’s contact must register, if interested in attending the conference.
- Before you register, you must know the membership status of the persons that you are registering.
Hotel Information
The hotel for the conference is the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. The hotel address is: 333 West Harbor Drive, San Diego CA 92101. The hotel rate is $285 plus tax.
