The University of Central Florida, Department of Health Management and Informatics invites candidates for multiple faculty positions.
The University of Central Florida (UCF), Department of Health Management & Informatics (HMI), invites applications for a non-tenure, tenure track assistant, and tenured associate, or full professor position in our Health Services Administration Programs. A doctoral degree in Health Administration, Health Economics, Health Policy, Public Health or a related health field or discipline by the start of the appointment for the Assistant position. To be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate or full professor, candidates must have a substantial publication and teaching record and have obtained extramural funding. For the instructor/ lecturer positions, an advanced degree in Health Administration, Health Economics, Health Policy, Public Health or a related health field or discipline is required. A doctorate degree is preferred, but outstanding candidates with a master’s degree and exceptional professional work experience may be considered for the instructor/lecturer positions.
Candidates must possess competencies through education, teaching, research, and/or work experience in one or more of the following content areas: health economics, healthcare finance, health policy, population health, epidemiology, and public health.

Assistant / Associate / Full Professor # 38265
Preference will be given to candidates who have post-doctoral academic experience in research and teaching and a strong record of scholarly publications in the content areas described above. Research experience will be demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals. At the Associate and Full professor level we seek an individual who has an established reputation in one of the desired content areas. Candidates with a research focus in community-based, participatory research and service are preferred.
The candidate will join the Department of Health Management & Informatics, which includes the nation’s largest graduate and undergraduate programs in health services administration (HSA), an executive healthcare management program (e-MSHSA), a fully online graduate program in healthcare informatics (HCI), and an undergraduate program in health informatics and information management (HIIM). The master’s in HSA and baccalaureate in HIIM are accredited by CAHME and CAHIIM, respectively. The undergraduate HSA program is certified by AUPHA, and there is a Health Management and Research track included in the Public Affairs Ph.D. program offered by the College of Health and Public Affairs. The candidate will be expected to teach both undergraduate and/or graduate students, conduct quality research in one or more of the preferred content areas, and obtain externally funded research. Specifically, the candidate will be expected to develop community-based research and service initiatives.

The candidate will join the Department of Health Management & Informatics, which includes the nation’s largest graduate and undergraduate programs in health services administration (HSA), an executive healthcare management program (e-MSHSA), a fully online graduate program in healthcare informatics (HCI), and an undergraduate program in health informatics and information management (HIIM).
