Job Description:
To participate in a variety of projects concerning health services research/health policy such as the impacts of public health policies to prevent chronic diseases (particularly cardiovascular diseases), community-interventions to maintain healthy behavior, and tele-health use in hospitals and long-term care facilities. This post-doctoral work will be supervised by Dr. Byung-Kwang Yoo. The various collaboration opportunities are available within UC Davis (e.g., the Center for Healthcare Policy and Research (CHPR)) and outside UC Davis (e.g., California State Department of Public Health/Health Care Services). This position will start between April 1, 2017 and July 1, 2017. (depending on an applicant’s availability), ending June 30, 2018. The applicant must earn a PhD prior to the start date
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in economics, health services research, health policy or related fields is required. Experiences of analyzing a large datas et using graduate-level micro econometrics techniques (such as instrumental variable method and panel-data analysis) are also required. Experiences of conducting cost-effectiveness/cost-benefit analyses are highly recommended, although not required.
