The University of Miami is accepting applications for a tenure track faculty position within the Programs in Health Sector Management and Policy (HSMP) at the School of Business Administration.
The University of Miami is a Carnegie comprehensive doctoral and medical degree granting research university of approximately 15,500 students and 13,400 faculty and staff involved in teaching, research and service. The University’s main campus in suburban Coral Gables is home to two colleges and seven schools located on a 230-acre tract.
The Programs in Health Sector Management and Policy in the School of Business Administration is seeking applicants with experience in the area of Health Sector Management and Policy. Applications will be accepted at the assistant professor level, with employment commencing fall, 2015. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position. The position is open to those candidates who are either focused on the general area of health care management or policy, or have applied a functional area (e.g., Finance, Economics, Quality Improvement, Information Technology, etc.) to the health care industry. The successful candidate will develop and/or maintain an active research agenda leading to scholarly publications in “A” level journals. Teaching and service appropriate to rank will be expected. The School of Business Administration is active in undergraduate and graduate teaching, with classes held 7 days a week.
Salary is competitive with those at similar departments and institutions. Position is contingent upon approval of funding.
