Faculty Position, Health Economist, Jefferson College of Population Health

Jefferson College of Population Health, one of six schools of Thomas Jefferson University, a major academic health center located in Philadelphia, PA, seeks applicants for its non-prefixed open-rank faculty position in health economics. Part of the College’s Teacher-Scholar track, the position provides protected time for research and scholarly activities, but is primarily focused on the successful teaching of students in JCPH’s online graduate programs in health policy, population health, healthcare quality & safety, and applied health economics and outcomes research.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD that focuses on health economics and is expected to teach courses in the academic programs; to supervise PhD dissertations and masters-level Capstone research projects; and to engage in scholarship that leads to peer-reviewed publications and presentations.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in additional areas such as health finance, healthcare risk management, population health management and/or health economics outcomes research (HEOR) and practical work experience in one of these areas. Previous experience in online teaching, course design and delivery is a plus.
