Research & Planning Consultants, LP has an immediate, full-time opening for a forensic economist. The candidate would be expected to gain experience as a forensic consultant before becoming a testifying expert on economic damages. A PhD is required in economics or finance. A candidate with experience working in healthcare, hospital administration, or similar would be ideal. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Job Responsibilities: Preparing expert reports for personal injury and employment litigation and eventually providing expert testimony at deposition and trial. RPC works with plaintiffs and defendants. Work for defendants involves critiquing the plaintiff’s expert reports and developing independent findings and opinions.
RPC economists are supported by full-time nurse consultants who summarize medical records, certified coders, life care planners, vocational consultants, and document production staff. We have a panel of physiatrists, orthopedic surgeons and neuropsychologists to provide medical opinions.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must have a doctoral degree in economics
- Resident of Texas or willingness to relocate to Texas
