The University of New Hampshire’s flagship campus invites nominations and letters of application for the appointment of the Forrest D. McKerley Professorship in Health Economics beginning in Fall 2020. The Chair is a joint appointment by the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) and the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics (Paul). The responsibilities of the position include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, working with doctoral students, conducting applied research in health policy analysis, and providing leadership in the development and implementation of health services and health economics research at the University of New Hampshire in the Health Management and Policy Department in CHHS and the Economics Department in Paul. The candidate is expected to hold an earned doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline, e.g. economics or health economics. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: comparative effectiveness, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, hospitals, physicians, health care finance, and competition in health care supply, but welcome all applications. Candidates must have a strong record (appropriate to their rank) of teaching, scholarship, and research funding. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to lead in an increasingly diverse cultural, social, and ethnic community. Applicants should be eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
