
The University of California, Irvine, Program in Public Health, Susan and Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences, is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Health Policy within the newly formed Department of Health, Society, and Behavior (DHSB). We invite applications at the Associate or Full Professor level in the area of health policy. Whereas expertise in any of a range of topics (e.g., health services, health economics, health effects of social policy) will be considered, the successful candidate’s research program in health policy will directly inform at least one of DHSB’s four focus areas: health disparities, social risk factors, health behavior, and population-based interventions.
The successful candidate will be part of University of California, Irvine’s new School of Population and Public Health. Qualifications include a strong extramurally funded research program and experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate, graduate, and/or postdoctoral students. All applicants must have a doctoral degree in health policy, public health, epidemiology, economics, public policy, sociology or a related field, as well as a strong record of research accomplishments and publications. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the research and teaching missions of the department, and to help to shape and expand the area of Health Policy within the School of Population and Public Health through leadership and service.
