Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

The College of Health Sciences – Department of Health Sciences at the University of Missouri (MU) – Columbia invites applications for tenure track faculty with a focus on health management and/or health policy at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor.  Candidates should have an established research agenda in an area of study eligible for competitive external funding. Candidates will also teach undergraduates in the Department of Health Sciences and participate in service activities for the Department, College, and University.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualification for this position is a doctoral degree by time of appointment.

Candidates will be evaluated on evidence of success in scholarly productivity, external funding of research, teaching competence in both in-person and online formats, and undergraduate teaching experience in health management and/or health leadership.

The MU College of Health Sciences (CHS) is the University of Missouri system’s only school of health professions and the state’s only public health program located on a health sciences campus. With programs in rehabilitation, diagnostic and imaging sciences, public health. and social work, graduates of CHS fill critical roles in health care. Health professions account for more than 60 percent of the total U.S. health care workforce. Jobs in health professions are projected to grow at least through 2026, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The school is an important member of the University of Missouri Health System. Other members include the Sinclair School of Nursing, the School of Medicine, University Hospitals and Clinics and University Physicians.
