2023 ASHEcon Conference: Volunteer to Discuss a Paper or Chair a Session

Are you interested in serving as session chair or discussant at the 2023 ASHEcon Conference to be held fully in-person in St. Louis, Missouri this June 11-14th?

These roles are open to all individuals on a first come, first served basis. Please note that all roles are in-person and conference registration is required.

Chairs introduce the session & speakers, keep the session on time, and facilitate the discussion period. We need one chair per session. We encourage chairs to reach out to the participants as soon as possible. Contact information will be provided shortly after you confirm your role. More details on this role can be found here. –

Discussants review the panel papers and prepares brief remarks to help encourage audience discussion at the end. Most papers will be uploaded into the Online Program by May 26th or you can reach out to the panelists to request papers as soon as you’d like. Discussants play a critical role in determining the quality of audience participation in the session. After the presentation, the discussant has approximately 7 minutes to talk about the presented paper. Contact information will be provided shortly after you confirm your role.
